Ahhhh, facebook...

Have you ever wondered what went through that person's mind when they requested to be your friend via facebook, but you haven't talked to them in a very long long long time. Like since high school. Not even graduation day or even the summer after high school, they were last seen by you in your sophomore year math class. Not to mention that last time you spoke to them, which was lunchtime during the first month of you freshman year. And here they are goofing smiling into a picture holding a kid, which you can only assume is theirs but he looks old enough to have been born while you were still in high school. There you are sitting, staring at the computer trying to remember if they had a kid in HS, you wouldn't have heard it from that person of course cause you haven't seen them since math class sophomore year, so you try to remember all the rumors you heard and can't think of any-STOP!!!-you finally come to your senses realize that you just don't give a shit and click ignore. You click ignore, because now you hate that person for even attempting to make you want to re-open the door to high school, which is the one door that should forever stay sealed, because by now (7 years later) if you don't have it surrounding you from high school then you really don't need it back in your life.

EXCEPT music, of course. I have this great selective memory, you see. Most people when listening to an album from their pre-college years, think back to the times, reminisce, wonder what happened to their teachers and so-called friends. HELL NO, not me, i am one of the lucky ones who can get past that, move on, live my life in the present. Granted that has left me a facebook loser topping out at a whopping 100 friends, but at least i know where, who, and what each 100 of those people are doing now!

Welcome to the late 90's
